India must help Pakistan against terrorism: Malik

LAHORE: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said Pakistan is in a state of war and India should help Pakistan in its fight against terrorism, a private TV channel reported. According to the channel, Malik told NDTV in an interview aired on Friday that Pakistan and India would have to adopt a joint strategy to deal with terrorism as Taliban are common enemies of Islamabad and New Delhi. “Pakistan is facing insurgency. India should also help, as the Taliban threat is common to India and Pakistan. There needs to be a joint strategy to tackle Taliban,” he said. He said Pakistan had made it clear to the members of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee that it would not accept conditional aid. daily times monitor
